What is a foam floor bed?
A foam floor bed is a low-profile children's bed built from a solid polyurethane foam frame rather than wood or metal. Ours have a gentle arched headboard and raised sides for a cosy, enclosed feel, and sit close to the floor so toddlers can get in and out independently — the idea behind the popular Montessori approach to children's spaces.
It's designed as a rest, nap and play space: somewhere for daytime naps, quiet time, stories and den-building. It's suitable from 12 months to around 6 years and isn't intended as a child's full-time overnight bed.
Bouclé or corduroy: which fabric is right for you?
Both beds share exactly the same foam frame, size and features. The difference is the upholstery, and it really comes down to the look and feel you want in the room.
Bouclé: light, textured and modern
Bouclé has a soft, looped texture that feels cloud-like and looks right at home in a neutral, Scandi-style nursery. It's the choice for parents who want the bed to feel like a proper piece of furniture.

Corduroy: warm, tactile and cosy
Wide-wale corduroy gives a warmer, slightly retro feel with a ribbed texture little hands love to run over. It's a great fit for snug playrooms and anyone after a bit more colour.

Whichever you choose, the cover unzips and is washable, and the fabric is OEKO-TEX® certified and REACH compliant.
Do you need a mattress?
Every bed takes a standard 70 x 140 cm mattress, so you can order the bed on its own and use one you already have (up to 14 cm deep). If you'd rather have a perfect fit, you can add one of our 10 cm mattresses at checkout. Both are double-sided, with a firmer smooth side and a softer profiled side, and both have removable, machine-washable covers.
- Bamboo mattress: naturally antibacterial, soft and moisture-wicking. Our most popular pick for warmer rooms and sensitive skin.
- Tencel mattress: silky-smooth with excellent breathability and temperature regulation, a good choice for allergy sufferers.
Whatever mattress you use, make sure it fits snugly with no gaps between the mattress and the sides.
Setting up a cosy rest and play corner
- Pick a quiet spot away from radiators, heaters and open fires.
- Keep it low-clutter. A couple of favourite books and a soft toy are plenty.
- Add a reading light nearby (out of reach) for story time.
- Match the room. Pair the bed with a soft play set in the same fabric for a pulled-together playroom.
- Use the non-slip base on hard floors. It keeps the bed stable and helps prevent moisture build-up.

Can my child sleep in it every night?
No. Our foam beds are designed for naps, rest and play, not as a permanent overnight bed.
Does it need assembling?
No tools, no assembly. Just unpack it, position it and add the mattress.
How do I clean it?
Unzip the cover and machine wash it. For everyday marks, a damp cloth is usually enough.
