Our play mat range

Round and square play mats

Classic foam play mats in soft velvet and cotton, in round and square shapes. They cushion falls, insulate from cold floors and make a lovely base for a ball pit or reading corner.

Nest play mats

Padded round mats with a soft raised edge that creates a cosy, defined space for babies. Perfect for tummy time, play and naps.

5-piece play mat sets

Our 5-piece foam mattress sets cover a larger area, making them ideal under soft play equipment, in nurseries and in playrooms where you want full floor coverage. Each mat can be used on its own or joined together.

Why choose a foam play mat?

Safe from birth

Made from non-toxic foam with no hard edges, our mats give babies a soft, safe surface to explore from newborn upwards. Always supervise your baby during floor play.

Beautiful enough to leave out

Unlike bright foam tiles, our mats come in muted, modern colours and soft fabrics that complement your home rather than dominate it.

Easy to clean

Covers wipe clean or unzip for washing, so spills and sticky fingers are no problem.

Play mats: frequently asked questions

What age can a baby use a play mat?

Our play mats are suitable from birth, always with an adult present. They're ideal for tummy time in the early months, then for rolling, sitting and crawling as your baby grows.

What's the difference between a flat play mat and a nest mat?

A flat play mat gives a large, even surface for tummy time, crawling and play, and folds away for storage. A nest mat has a soft raised edge that creates a cosy, defined space, which many parents like for younger babies and calm play.

Can I use a play mat under a ball pit or soft play set?

Yes. A play mat cushions the floor and keeps cold off little ones, so it works well under ball pits, play gyms and step and slide sets. For larger areas, our 5-piece mat set gives fuller floor coverage.

How do I clean a foam play mat?

Wipe-clean covers just need a damp cloth and mild soap. Zipped fabric covers can be removed for washing. Always let the mat dry fully before use.

What size play mat should I choose?

Around 100 to 125 cm suits most living rooms and nurseries and gives a baby plenty of room to roll. Choose the larger size if a parent will often be on the mat too, or if siblings will share it.
