Collection: All Ball Pits

Foam ball pits for babies and toddlers, available in round and square shapes, with balls included. Soft, safe and stimulating, they make a lovely centrepiece for any playroom, nursery or living room.

Round ball pits

Our round ball pits are the classic choice for smaller spaces. They're 90 cm across, with a choice of 30 cm or 40 cm high sides, and come with 200 balls as standard. Choose from bouclé, cotton, velvet and more, in calm neutral and pastel shades. Low sides make them easy for little ones to climb in and out.

Square ball pits

Need more room? Our large square ball pits measure 106 x 106 x 40 cm and come with 400, 500 or 600 balls. They're big enough for siblings, playdates and nurseries, and fit neatly into the corner of a room.

Ball pit and soft play sets

Want the full play corner? Our sets pair a ball pit with foam steps, a slide and climbing blocks, so children can climb, slide and land in the balls.

Why choose a Children's Soft Play ball pit?

Safe for little ones

Every ball pit has soft foam sides that cushion bumps and falls, and balls sized for small hands.

Supports sensory development

Ball pits are widely used in sensory play. Reaching, grasping and moving through the balls helps develop fine motor skills, colour recognition and coordination.

Washable covers

The fabric covers zip off for washing, so keeping your ball pit clean is quick and easy.

Ball pits: frequently asked questions

What age is a ball pit suitable for?

Low, foam-sided ball pits are suitable from around 6 months, once a baby can sit up unaided, with supervision. Toddlers from 12 months to around 4 years get the most out of them, and larger square pits stay in use for longer.

How many balls do I need?

200 balls give a single layer in a 90 cm round pit, which is ideal for babies. For toddlers who want to sit and dig in the balls, 300 or more is better. Our large square pits come with 400, 500 or 600 balls.

Should I choose a round or square ball pit?

Round pits suit babies and smaller rooms. Square pits give more play space for the same footprint and sit neatly against a wall or in a corner, so they're the better choice for siblings, playdates and nurseries.

Can I choose the ball colours?

Yes, on most of our ball pits you can choose up to four ball colours and add your choice when you order. If you're not sure, we'll send a soft neutral mix.

How do I keep a ball pit clean?

Wipe the inside regularly, wash the balls every month or so in warm soapy water and let them air dry, and unzip the fabric cover for washing when needed. Our ball pit buying guide has more tips.

What size ball pit should I buy?

A 90 cm round pit suits one baby or toddler. For two children or more room to play, choose a 106 cm square pit or our extra-large 100 cm XXL round pit.
